New Net Technologies to Provide Open Integration to Leading Service Desk Systems

Comprehensive ‘change detection’ control and enhanced IT security can now be delivered to any Service Desk system through seamless, two-way integration with NNT Change Tracker Enterprise.

NNT, a global provider of IT security and compliance software solutions, today announces that it is providing open access to its NNT Change Tracker Enterprise product to allow full integration with all leading Service Desk applications. This bi-directional integration enables an organization to augment existing change management processes with the detailed change detection within Change Tracker, giving full visibility of all changes that could affect security and disrupt service delivery.

With an estimated 80%+ of unplanned downtime resulting from people and process issues, and with the nature of the modern threats to data security impossible to predict, the change management discipline is key to maintaining system security and service delivery quality. Being able to provide visibility of what is being changed, when and by whom makes the identification of genuine security issues straightforward, helping to reduce the risk of a breach.

Combining the change management process within the Service Desk and the change detection functionality within NNT Change Tracker establishes a complete ‘closed loop’ approach to change management. NNT Change Tracker records the actual configuration and system file changes made within the IT infrastructure and links these to the change records stored within the Service Desk system.
