Tony Scott, CIO of the United States Government, has developed a new plan to help strengthen cybersecurity efforts among U.S. federal agencies.
This plan comes just after several federal agencies suffered from massive data breaches, exposing millions of Americans' credentials.
The Cybersecurity Strategy Implementation Plan (CSIP) focuses on five key objectives, as seen on Scott’s blog: Identification and protection of high value assets and information; timely detection of and response to incidents; rapid recovery from incidents; recruitment and retention of the best info security talent; and better use of new and existing technologies. These objectives will work in conjunction with FedRAMP Compliance Management.
Scott has also announced that the Office of Management and Budget is issuing a report titled the Fiscal Year 2015-2016 Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA) and Privacy Management.
As Scott mentions in his blog article, security is an ongoing, evolving process with no single solution to fix it. By staying up to date with the latest security solutions on the market, you can help mitigate these risks by protecting your IT estate as best as possible.
With NNT’s Change Tracker Gen7, your organization will be equipped with best in class security solutions like File Integrity Monitoring, Change & Configuration Management, Continuous Compliance, System Hardening & Vulnerability Management and Breach Detection.
