Mozilla has blocked all versions of Flash in its Firefox browser due to major security concerns with the software that have come to light after the attack on surveillance software firm Hacking Team.
Mark Schmidt, head of Firefox support at Mozilla, confirmed that all versions of Flash up to the most recent 18.0.0.203 release have been added to the official Mozilla blocklist.
Major technology organizations are becoming increasingly concerned about the use of Flash after vulnerabilities were discovered as a result of the leak of internal Hacking Team documents, thus prompting far more advanced System Hardening and Vulnerability Management.
